From the first moment I tasted gelato, I was in love. I love the natural ingredients in it and how the flavor combinations are endless. So, when I heard there was an opportunity to learn more about Rome and get free gelato from Giolitti, one of the most famous gelaterias in the city, I was definitely in! The tour guide was very cool and knew a lot of information. I was happy to learn that he will be the professor of one of my classes next block.
We went inside various churches, outdoor sites and other buildings. I will let the breathtaking artwork speak for itself.
Seemingly 3D artwork on the ceiling of the Church of Sant 'Ignazio di Loyola.
A site at one of the naves in the Church of Sant 'Ignazio di Loyola.
Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi(The Fountain of the Four Rivers) with an obelisk in the center of it.
Views from the Tiber. In each on-site class or guided tour, we were provided with small radios and a headphone to be able to listen to the presenter even from a distance. I thought this was very helpful and savvy especially during the pandemic.
